Who roasts the coffee?
The coffee is all roasted and packaged by our founder Avery Meeker. Currently we do not outsource our roasting or packaging process and we are certified as a coffee manufacturing facility in Wa state. Avery has been roasting since 2022 and has taken formal training in coffee roasting. We roast on a Diedrich IR-12.

Who owns this company? Are there any outside investors?
The company is owned by Avery Meeker and no outside investment has been taken. We are a small operation at this point, which allows us to be flexible and support farms we truly love and believe in.

Can I return an item?
We will happily accept the return of any unopened Big Year Coffee products within 30 days of you receiving them. Email us for details and our return address. If you are unhappy with your order please also send us a note and we will try to best remedy the situation given your concerns.

Ground or Whole Bean
Our default is whole bean. If you would like your product ground please write us a note. Feel free to include how you are serving the product (drip, espresso, french press) and we will try to grind best to your preferences. If you prefer whole bean no need to leave a note, your beans will be whole unless otherwise specified.

Do you sell your products wholesale?
We aim to offer our products at competitive wholesale rates to all customers which is reflected in our pricing. If you'd like to inquire about large order discounts we can discuss a potential partnership.

What are my shipping options?
We currently ship to all USA destinations and separately within Canada using our Canada store. If you live elsewhere and want some coffee, email us your request and we will see what we can do! We offer free standard USPS shipping within the US. Within Canda we offer $10 flat rate shipping and local delivery to those of your in Metro Vancouver, BC.

When will I receive my order?
We typically ship orders every first and third Wednesday of the month. The cutoff time for delivery is 09:00AM PST on Tuesday. Orders placed after that time will be delivered the following shipping time. USPS typically delivers items in 3-8 business days. In total a majority of items sent out will be delivered in 3-5 business days after shipping.

What do I do if I never received my order?
We're sorry to hear that! Please email us with your order number and any details so we can help.

What do I do if I received a defective order?
Please email us ASAP! We will do everything we can to help. Any details or photos you can include of the defects would be very helpful.

How do I make changes to an order I’ve already placed?
Send us an email immediately! We only ship on specific days so if you are able to contact us before that time we typically can adjust your order. Please include your order number and what changes you'd like to make so we can faster facilitate your order.

Where are you located?
We are headquartered in Everett, Washington with a shipping warehouse in Ferndale, Wa. We roast in Auburn, Wa, just outside of Seattle. We don't have a storefront or coffee shop at this time, we are just an online business. We also have a separate operation in Vancouver BC, please visit https://bigyearcoffee.ca to shop from there.
